In Omotesando and Aoyama area, many shops exhibited in collaborations with artists in a broad range of genres.

There was a huge installation by an illustrator/artist Yu Nagaba at Volvo Studio Aoyama, not too far from the information center. Cars and line drawing portraits painted on a transparent acrylic boards which were overlayed to produce a light-weighted atmosphere in the showroom. There was also an animation projected on a big screen.

Brooks Brothers Aoyama celebrated its 40th anniversary of the shop opening in Japan by a collaboration with a contemporary artist Natsuki Takayama. He exhibited sculptures and also announced new original paintings. The works were created by reusing Brooks Brothers shirts and neckties, which were unable to be sold due to damages and stains.

There was a bonsai exhibition by Masashi Hirao at kolor Minamiaoyama. He is famous for inheriting traditions and combining them with a unique modern style. As mentioned in the article here, the bonsai stands with no discomfort but with an intense character, showing a strong presence in the shop.
