The exhibition “LIVING WITH ART” will be held from the 1st to the 21st of November. Artists represented by Clark Gallery + SHIFT, Hideki Inaba, Hiroyuki Tamino, Mie Suzuki, Shu Saito, Toshiya Kobayashi, Minoru Yamamoto, Shuun, and Wabisabi will be exhibiting their artworks.
With the theme “Just like buying usual items and clothes, let’s purchase art works and decorate the home. Try to incorporate art into your life” and enjoy “buying art.” Living with Art’s “Machinaka Art editions” will be exhibited and sold; this will include 63 artworks from 20 different artists. Each artwork will cost 9,800 yen (tax included). All works are signed with an edition number. You can choose your favorite frame from 5 different types for the artwork you have purchased. Customers will also be able to join a popularity vote during this event. For the artist who gains the greatest number of votes they will win the opportunity to hold an exhibition in ODORI BISSE. For the customers who participate in the vote there is a chance to get special benefits such as art, and other goods and presents from ODORI BISSE. Art works will be exhibited inside six stores in ODORI BISSE. These will be selected by the popular make-up artist Miwa Yokoyama. In addition, a special exhibition will be held by up-and-coming artists from “Machinaka Art”, Takuya Yonezawa and Yasuharu Mounai, and release their latest artworks. During this time, workshops will be held by the artists.
As a kickoff event for “Art Sapporo” in November, the opening reception is planned on the 1st of November. Kentaro Totsuka, an adviser of Art Sapporo, has been invited to speak at the event. He is the director of hpgrp GALLERY TOKYO (Tokyo / New York), and also a producer of the Aosando Art Fair, and the NEW CITY ART FAIR. The event is by invitation only.
