“Art Basel Hong Kong 2016” is to be held from March 24th to 26th. The show provides an in-depth overview of the region’s diversity through both historical material and cutting-edge works by leading and emerging artists. During Art Basel, collaborations with local and international partners ensure a diverse range of arts programming, with hundreds of cultural events hosted across the city throughout the week.

The Galleries sector presents art from 187 of the world’s leading Modern and contemporary art galleries, displaying paintings, sculptures, drawings, installations, photographs, film, video and digital artworks from the 20th and 21st centuries. Insights presents projects by galleries based in the Asia and the Asia-Pacific region and representing artists from the region. Booths may include solo shows, exceptional art-historical material and thematic exhibitions.

Discoveries gives a powerful platform to emerging contemporary artists, showcasing work by the next generation of talent at an early stage in their career. Galleries exhibit exciting new work created specifically for the show by one or two artists from their gallery program. And you can also see Encounters section curated by Alexie Glass-Kantor and the Film by Li Zhenhua, including talks and other events.
