A Sapporo-based artist who has been active as the underground with seeking new places to paint, Minoru Yamamoto will have a solo exhibition “Minority Saves the World.” from March 1st at Clark Gallery+SHIFT in Sapporo. It is the first “on” the ground.

He produces iconic pop graphics of figures in black and white colors, also shows wall-paintings and live performances, and designed CD cover and flyers for club events.

For this exhibition, he will fill the gallery wall likened to the street in new graphic arts as many as several hundred, while refusing to go along with “majority” which throws its weight around in volatile era and putting a message which “minority” who believe in their own sense will save the world, not misled by the opinion of others.
