NERHOL "PORTRAITS (MISUNDERSTANDING FOCUS, COEXISTENCE)"

The exhibition Portraits (Misunderstanding Focus, Coexistence) by the art unit, Nerhol will be held at SLANT. Nerhol is composed of Yoshihisa Tanaka, who kneads ideas (kneader=Ner), and Ryuta Iida, who sculpts them (sculpt=Hol). Their paper 3D works attract people’s attention in any field every time they release.
In this exhibition “Portraits”, “Misunderstanding Focus” series which has shown at limArt Gallery, Ebisu in May, 2012, and the new series “Coexistence” will be showcase.
“Coexistence” is the biggest 3Dwork by Nerhol and the concept comes from the portrait. The twisted new portrait with reflected surround by using mirror paper, will appear on the sculpted cross-section of the paper.
