Make the world to a better place by shopping green.

ECOLS

Shops and designs that dedicated to green can be rarely found in Hong Kong. Fortunately, a new eco concept lifestyle shop ECOLS have been opened at Gough Street, Sheung Wan this year as a platform to share creative eco ideas. The founder Donald Lo and the co-founder Phoebe Yuen would want to ignite our eco attitude with their lifestyle products and wish to nurture us about living a green lifestyle through this platform.

You may think plastic bottles, pull-tab, candy wrappers and lumber are just some everyday’s trash, but eco-conscious artists and designers transformed the discard materials into some fashionable handbags and accessories with their creative magic. Moreover, handbags and accessories of Ecoist and Escama Studio are the fair trade products that come from the U.S. and handmade in Brazil and Peru by some local community groups. People can earn a living from the craftsmanship skill and create an eco community with a group of friends. ECOLS also offers home furniture, home accessories, stationary and etc that made by recycled materials. Yet, all their products feel luxurious and fun at the same time.

Another highlight of ECOLS would be the modern LED Green Lighting Showroom. It’s the first LED showroom in Hong Kong retails. The stylish interior with dramatic lighting effects in the showroom mesmerized every visitor. It shows you infinite perspective of colors and reflections. It’s a real blast to sit at the room and looking at the change of light.

Besides being a shop, ECOLS is also an art space that showcases art pieces from local and overseas artists. The space changes its theme regularly with different environmental topics. Each of the exhibitions sends out positive eco message and educates us to do the world a favor by being recycled.
