Critics have lauded John Cage as one of the most influential American composers of the 20th century, as his music has inspired the form of contemporary dance theatre.

Celebrating John Cage’s centennial year and his philosophical innovation, the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble is the first chamber ensemble in Asia to create, produce, and present the composer’s “omnium gatherum” piece.
