IMAGINARIUM: TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH
Explorers of the land! How much do you know about the planet we inhabit? The seventh edition of Singapore Art Museum’s annual children-focused exhibition returns this May with “Imaginarium: To the Ends of the Earth.” Featuring immersive, tactile and interactive artworks by nine contemporary artists, the exhibition invites explorers of all ages to take a closer look at our surroundings and the environment we reside in.
Through contemporary artworks that encourage discovery through exploration and play, we see how people, flora, and fauna, adapt to their ever-changing surroundings. With the technological progress that humans have made, we now have better insight into far-flung locations, and are better connected than before, but are we really any closer to appreciating earth’s many marvels?
Discover new ways of seeing and experiencing the wonderful world around us, as we journey to the ends of the earth through the eyes of artists Bounpaul Phothyzan (Laos), Calvin Pang (Singapore), Eko Nugroho (Indonesia), Hiromi Tango (Japan/Australia), Nandita Mukand (Singapore), Nipan Oranniwesna (Thailand), Mary Bernadette Lee (Singapore), Unchalee Anantawat (Thailand) and UuDam Tran Nguyen (Vietnam).
