Hyper knit creator, Saki Chikaraishi‘s solo exhibition “Back To The Fiber: Paper Landscape” will start at Shibuya Hikarie. In these years, she has been exhibited outside works as named “Traveling Knitting Machine Project”, but this time it’s inside one after a long time with her new project “Back To The Fiber”.

Saki is an artist who communicates with people through knitting. As the act of knitting is one of the creation of humanity that followed from ancient times, she will evoke the fundamental strength and roots and ambitiously attempt to create another microcosm spatial in a limited space while citing the “dry landscape” garden as the traditional arts of Japan.

This exhibition is carried out in part of the competition “Kokuyo Design Award” that an office supplies manufacturer Kokuyo has held from 2002, so the 2015 awarded works exhibition will be held at the same time. Admission is free. For the first 200 visitors, the collected works will be gifted which winning and finalists works published on. Please those who are worried to come soon.
