Art Gallery Artium presents the retrospective exhibition by the photographer Masayoshi Sukita have created various works of Advertisements, TV ad, video works etc. Born in Fukuoka, Masayoshi Sukita is a photographer who is active at the fore front. He have shotten international artisits such as David Bowie, Marc Bolan from T. Rex, YMO, Tomoyasu Hotei and get support from them.

From new wave musicians to the artists and actors in cities atound the world, his works cover wide range. For example, the picture of his mother which he shot using his first camera when he was a high school student, jazz musicians like Lee Morgan, Tenjosajiki by Shuji Terayama… They are like Sukita (looks like a Beatnik)’s endless road movie that we can feel mysterious wounds and images from. While running along cultures, his photos are a record of the times. And there is some kind of “surprise” which Bowie mention as “SOUND & VISION”.
