EPISODE 17: EXPO 2015

EXPO 2015 by Laurie Anderson
The best piece during her lifetime. The theme song for Expo 2015 is a 74-minute long track continuously looping to almost stupefy your sense of time. The art director who created for the entire Expo including the jacket work was a Japanese designer that appears to be very honorable. I’ve seen “FU-FU” on TV very often. It was my favorite character when I was a kid.
Having lost an ID at the cosmic expo, my mother couldn’t come down to the earth for 2 months. Having just got to school at that time, I as a kid wept away every day during the 2 months. This reminds me of that painful memory.
Well, it is horrible the musician broke onto the UK’s charts with this music in the 1980s.
Come to think of it, one of my co-workers at Time Company told me he had been to her solo exhibition about 20 years ago, which was awesome. He always boasts about it. He said Laurie Anderson was married to Lou Reed. Is it true?
