∀ (TURN A) GUNDAM

When I saw the mobile suit designed by Syd Mead in Young Magazine first, I had everything go black. This is the design before GUNDAM!?

The director Tomino said, “Affirm all GUNDAM” in NEW TYPE magazine, but I wonder if the pedigree of mobile suit design that has been cultivated until now came to nothing completely by that. I’m sure that the design was back to the starting point, but I won’t deny the design.

It pursuits the reality, but I hope that they were broken from a spell by mobile suit insists in the reality that is not persuasive, and the new ∀GUNDAM that aims for the next 20 years would have been started. (Will the development of GUNDAM plastic models be taken over by OVA such as 08 platoon?) However why did the project of GUNDAM by SUNRISE or BANDAI send off such GUNDAM?

For the life of me, I cannot think it’s a design targeting all users of GUNDAM. I cannot understand their target. BANDAI is now very eager to promote GUNDAM for overseas. But if this is designed targeting overseas, I think it’s a bit wrong. I hope this shocking design will be aired with some fresh images we have never seen.

I can only imagine that they aim for a largescale work because the enemy mobile suit is more than 40 meters. I think the design of the characters by Akira Yasuda who dealt with Street Fighter2 are excellent. I just anxious about the motion. How does the missile blast off? How’s the motion?

Thanks to Imai Toons for this illustration of ∀GUNDAM. Imai says, “I came to like it during I was making the illustration”. Thanks a lot!
