A solo exhibition of Tomoaki Ichikawa will be held at LAD GALLERY from May 29 to June 11.

In this exhibition, Ichikawa shows the works that based classic masterpieces. Jan van Eyck, Velázquez, Hieronymus Bosch…etc: They were classical painter who are eternal longing for present painter, however these great classical painters would stand in front of the present painters like a huge wall.

Ichikawa is trying to approach to the classical painters by inviting into his area of Manga or Kinkeshi(Kinnikuman-kesigomu) used to play since he was a kid. Enjoy the difference of view point of the person who draws and doesnt draw for classical masterpieces.
