“MIGRATING IMAGES” EXHIBITION

“Migrating Images“, a joint exhibition curated by Videotage in Hong Kong and MOMENTUM in Berlin, will be held from March 24th to 31st, bridging Berlin and Hong Kong. It features works by artists from their respective collections – Videotage Media Art Collection (VMAC) and MOMENTUM Collection. And reflects on two world capitals with great cultural legacies of imperialist ambition and cultural migration.
Since 2008, the VMAC has been a founding institution devoted to the preservation and expansion of a rich and diverse collection of video and media art in Hong Kong with materials dating back to the latter parts of the 20th century that is of significant educational value to the discourse of media archeology and art history in Hong Kong.
MOMENTUM is Berlin’s only non-profit platform focused on Time-Based Art, active since 2010. Through our program of Exhibitions, Education Events, Video Art in Public Space Initiatives, Residencies, and the Collection and Performance Archive, MOMENTUM is dedicated to providing a platform for exceptional artists working with time-based practices.
