The Heineken Company launches “Sustainable Challenge”. Great ideas and solutions can come from anywhere. From within the organization or from outside. That’s why The Heineken Company invites you to join them at ideasbrewery.com and challenge the status quo.
The ideas that best meet the criteria will be invited to the internal Heineken innovation platform where Heineken innovators will work with participants to bring their ideas to the next level. And the winners will be announced in June 2012.
The Challenge: Share your sustainable ideas on the future of beer packaging and win 10,000 dollar. Think re-use, re-cycle. Think transport. Think materials.
I. Re-using and re-cycling of packaging.How can we make it happen that a larger amount of beer packaging is going to be re-used or re-cycled?
II. Finding new packaging materials.What kind of new material would significantly improve the life cycle analysis of beer packaging?
III. Transport.What are your ideas concerning packaging to maximize transport efficiency?
“The 48 Hours of Live Innovation challenge” will kick off on the 3rd of April 2012, when Janne Kyttanen, creative director of Freedom of Creation and pioneer of 3d prototyping, will be locked in a secret location for 48 hours to develop potential solutions to Heineken’s Sustainability Challenge. Watch him in live during the 48 hours and get inspired by his creative process from concept to prototype.

The challenge is open to: Austria, Brazil, Canada (excl. Quebec & Yukon), China, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, UK & US (excl. California).
Awards & Prizes: 10,000 Dollar, The ideas will be invited to the internal Heineken innovation platform.
