Using all guest rooms of the two floors in Cross Hotel Sapporo for each gallery, “Art Fair Sapporo 2017” will be held again this year on Saturday, November 25th and Sunday, November 26th. 18 galleries were announced as the first information of the exhibitors.

This year, which will be held as the 5th exhibition for the purpose of cultivating contemporary art and market in Sapporo, the “Whitestone Gallery” based in Karuizawa, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Taipei, together with the “DMO ARTS” produced by digmeout which develops projects that find and nurture talented artists based in Osaka, and finally, the new exhibitor “studio BREMEN” will do creative support for people with disabilities in Kitami city, Hokkaido exhibits too in this art fair. 
It will be a valuable opportunity that the works of more than 100 contemporary artists such as modeling artist Yuco Maruo, and OKAMOTO MITSUHIRO who attracts attention with his challenges to social problems, can all be seen in Sapporo together at the same time.

Prior to the opening of the art fair, the attraction of lifestyles with contemporary art is being presented at the exhibition. The “Collectors Lounge“, exhibiting Hokkaido’s contemporary art collected by collectors in Hokkaido is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel. At the venue on the same day, “Art nursery room“, offering free nursery services is opened, as well as the new special projects including live performances of exhibition gallery “eitoeiko” will be held. Campaigns that the admission fee will be free when you install the Hokkaido information application “Domingo“, an additional information will be added on the official website from time to time.

Cross Hotel Sapporo proposes a special accommodation plan “SAPPORO MACHINAKA ARTRIP” that can profitably use of art spots in Sapporo City. It may be a good idea to get a souvenir of the works of the emerging artists who each gallery supports in a two-day trip as if you could go around the galleries of domestic and foreign cities.
