An Exhibition “Dress and Tights” will be held at Clark Gallery + SHIFT in Sapporo, from June 1st. “Dress and Tights” is a fashion brand to feel art work closer with dresses and tights printed these works on. This time, original images by participating artists of the brand are to be exhibited.
Toshinori Yoneta, the president of “Dress and Tights” was born in Hokkaido. As established it in 2012, the innovative and rich variations of art became a hot topic, he has been shown and sold them around the Shibuya Parco and Laforet Harajuku mainly. In 2013, the main visual of Makoto Aida, an artist wearing its pretty-girl tight was appeared. Through the fashion, he sends the appeal of contemporary art of Japan. Last year, the brand exhibited a pop-up store at “Art Fair Sapporo 2015“.
For this first exhibition at a gallery, collaborating with Clark Gallery + SHIFT, new tights designed by 5 Sapporo-based artists (Chisato Shinya, Wabisabi, Kaori Kojima, Shuun and Tomohito Saito) will be released.
