Kosakuten is back! In commemoration of the 400th anniversary of Ieyasu Tokugawa’s death, Kosakuten members will put on an exhibit with the theme of Ieyasu and yoroi (Japanese armour) “Drop Your Swords! Super Yoroi” Exhibition at CCC, which is located next to the ruins of Sunpu castle, from April 11th.
Last held in Shizuoka in 2010, for this Kosaku exhibit they will make cute, unusual or otherwise mysterious armor that makes one want to quit fighting. “Kosakuten” is a weries of exhibition with a theme as “homework and kosaku (handicraft)” by members including Hajime Anzai. They every time produce works as “kosaku” for homework, and exhibit all with asking the invited guest sensei (teacher) to “review”.
In the center, a 2.5m ‘SuperDeco Yoroi Special for Ieyasu’ created with volunteer help is planned. The day after the exhibit opening, there will also be a special live performance with the Kosakuten member band OBANDOS and guests. Plus, an explosive talk on the warring states period with Mari Hashimoto will be held between sets. Come and enjoy a laid back yet hot Spring eve.
