The long established hotel “Sapporo Grand Hotel” will open a new art gallery “Granvista Gallery Sapporo” in the main lobby at its grand floor in July 2nd, 2013. The first exhibition “LIFE” by Kazumasa Nagai will be held to celebrate the opening.

Kazumasa Nagai is an award winning graphic designer who has created various kind of works such as symbol marks for Sapporo 1972 Winter Olympics, Ibaraki prefecture, Niigata prefecture, Tokyo Electric Power Company, Inc., Asahi Breweries, and posters for business advertising, concerts, exhibitions and etc. He is active in home and abroad as a representative of Japanese graphic artists.

“LIFE” is a one of hand written series, which he has worked on like his lifework literally in unprecedented scale. This series attract attention as it is an emotional nature anthem filled with tenderness, which looks ahead to the origin of lives and contains forthright messages for the global issues of coexistence with the global environment.
