YAMAMOTO GENDAI” introduces artists represented who often work with unique techniques and methods and new media across the border of existing art genres. It has a lot of artists boasting distinctive techniques that surpass traditional technique omni-directional works by using various existing art genres.

YUKA TSURUNO GALLERY” is active at the primary market directed by Yuka Tsuruno, was opened in 2009. Regardless of genres such as paintings, sculptures, images, photographs, etc, the gallery showcases the work of prominent international artists with its keen attention to concept, context, and quality in various media include painting, sculpture, video, photography, and installation. It includes Candida Hofer and Jose Parla, in addition to the emerging artists in Japan.

The gallery “SCAI THE BATHHOUSE” which was renovated of Kashiwayu, a venerable public bath with a 200-year history, opened “SCAI PARK” as their second space. Not only sending the most advanced Japanese artists to the world but also positively introducing overseas excellent artists who are not yet known in Japan at the same time. As a newly renovated section of the gallery’s 270 square meter warehouse, SCAI PARK is an exhibition space serving both functions of preservation and presentation at the heart of the gallery’s work site. A series of curated programmes will showcase new works by SCAI’s represented artists as well as historical masterpieces from the gallery’s collection.

KOSAKU KANECHIKA“, a gallery opened independently by Kosaku Kanechika who worked as a director for a long time at Tomio Koyama Gallery, which handles contemporary art. It is planning on the exhibitions of domestic artists who are highly valued even overseas art scenes and noteworthy overseas artists, with new expressions not confined by existing frameworks.

TERRADA ART COMPLEX collaborates with the six leading contemporary art galleries to create a new cross point of Japanese art scene in an attractive space with a very high ceiling, which was renovated from a warehouse. It is located between Shinagawa Station and Tennoz Isle station, and accessible from the airport and the bullet train. Why do not you come and visit the totally new transmission base in the city center of Tokyo?
