THE AIM OF DESIGN IS TO DEFINE SPACE vs.
THE AIM OF SPACE IS TO DEFINE DESIGN

The Berlin punk/rock boys doing it for the ladies combo "THE AIM OF DESIGN IS TO DEFINE SPACE" are noisy and sexy and have a real cool logo.

Whether or not the aim of design is to define space, is true or not, is not important, the deal here is simply to make something big, bold, bad and proud, make some noise and give the people something to think about.

Their label is R.O.T. (Respect or Tolerate) thereユs unfortunatley nothing audio/visual wise from them on the web, but till there is, we've got something to think about, haven't we? Thatユs great design, innit?

I believe the aim of design is to present an idea in its most massively reduced form, the aim of design is to make the statement sit and good design makes good statements great.

One of the objects which walks the fine line between statement and not statement, empty and full, everything and nothing, is "Bureau Outernational", 4 walls and a door, a space, a shop, defining design and/or maybe not?
