To mark the release of Mike Mills’s latest movie, the ”20th Century Women”, his photo exhibition will be held from June 2nd to 14th at “TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS”.
This movie is a love story of a mother and a son depicting the director’s own story of mother and son relationship, a high-profile movie nominated for the Academy Awards for Writing Original Screenplay. Prior to the release of this movie, collaboration items of “Beams Boy” with this work were on sale since May 27th.
In this exhibition, the landscape photograph of Tokyo, taken by the director when he came to Japan in the spring of 2017 will be introduced in exhibition format for the first time. You can read the director’s interview at the current issue of a free paper, “ART FOR ALL” in limited copies edited by Okamoto Hitoshi and were published by “TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS”.
