GIICHI ICHIKAWA EXHIBITION “ONE DAY, ONE HAND”

Giichi Ichikawa, the Sapporo-based graphic designer’s exhibition “One Day, One Hand” will be held at Granvista Gallery Sapporo, from August 18th to September 6th. He was born in Tokyo, 1943. After working for advertising agency and production company in Tokyo, he moved to Sapporo in 1974 and established his own design studio.
When Ichikawa participated a conference event “TED” in 2012, the first time in Sapporo, he was interested in “30 days challenging” by other speakers and started the “design of left hand.” As decided to continue to challenge after 30 days, his drawings of left hand is over 1,500 sheets till today.
For this exhibition, 1,532 sheets drawn from the first day of challenging May 22nd, 2015 to July 31st, 2016 will be shown. Then on August 18th, he will talk with Makoto Iga, an artist, as the special event.
