WABISABI “METALOOKS”

Clark Gallery+SHIFT will present Wabisabi‘s poster exhibition “METALOOKS” from June 3rd to 30th, as commemorating the first anniversary from the relocation in Sapporo creative complex “MUSEUM”.

“METALOOKS” is digital paintings that they painted the partitioned pictures with every single colored, by intersected line which drawn freehand. This exhibition, Wabisabi made two type posters of those works and will exhibit them, as B1 and B0 size each. Including the first work made of silk screen in 2011, all 17 works such as giclee printings as the motif of the portrait and floral will be exhibited.

“WABISABI” is a design unit, consisting of Kudo “Wabi” Ryohei and Nakanishi “Sabi” Kazushi. They formed it for our creative work in 1999. Their main works are to make advertisements for tenants of fashion buildings, graphic design, images, interiors and so on. And new hat brand “What” that founded in 2014 by two members, one is “Wabi” from Wabisabi produced “Bonsai” and was appointed by Yohji Yamamoto Autumn/Winter 2015 collection, which was announced in Paris in January 2015.
