Hiro Sugiyama‘s new exhibition “Paint it Black” will be held from July 10th to 16th on the 2nd floor in the space elephant STUDIO. Being the art director of the artist unit Enlightenment, he has been involved in advertising, magazines, video production, CD jacket design, etc., and has recently released fine art works.

In this exhibition, he will show for the first time a series of works called “Paint it Black” in which the motif of historical masterpieces such as Van Gogh’s “Sunflowers” and “Self-portrait” and Andy Warhol’s “Banana”, is painted in black as his reproduction.

In addition, about 1,200 works produced by his everyday drawing from 1991 to 2021 will be exhibited in a chronological order. The archive exhibition “The Traffic of ‘Ma’- Drawing 1991-2021” will be also held at the same time on the 1st floor in the same space.
