“Tokyo Design Week” (TDW), celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, has started from October 24th. This year’s theme is “interactive.” The design of technology and relationship is needed now, not only as a form. TDW introduces various creativities that transmitted from Tokyo with interactive as the axis by different angles, through varied contents such as lives and workshops including exhibitions.
Especially, its theme will purveys interactive experiences through “JAPAN” via those contents. More than 10 percent of visitors come from foreign countries mainly in Asia already, indeed TDW has been become a destination for inbounds who obtains the Autumn of design. At a space as “Japan Design Week,” it’s possible to meet the charm of creatives in Sapporo, Sendai, Fukuoka, Kumamoto and Island Ishigaki where extremely add and expand their own attraction with creatives, not only Tokyo.
In addition, the interactive exhibition that has continued to strengthening will be developed in the last 10 times the scale, as a museum of video and robot experience of Tokyo. TDW is evolving with incorporating what the world expects as the latest content. What will it show us this year?
