The first Susan Cianciolo’s exhibition in Kyushu “Objects and Shapes” will be held at Art Gallery Artium from August 30th to September 23rd, 2013. Susan Cianciolo is an artist who is active in multiple genres with her own free view of the world.

Since the early 1990s, she has shown avant-garde, and lyrical, free spirit views through art, fashion, performance, video, food, and various medias. In this exhibition, creative textiles added by drawing, patchwork, embroidery and silk screen over the years, will be showcased.

You will find her fascinating works like installations using boxes, many videos. It is exhibition bring us the overwhelming view of the world of Susan Cianciolo who has created works in the philosophy “thing is recognized for its existence by just beautiful”.

In the duration of the exhibition, limited posters and wears will be sold. She will design a shop’s window display and also will attend the opening reception.
