Machinaka Art Cross Edition will present Hiroyuki Tamino solo exhibition “1997-2012” curated by SHIFT at Cross Hotel Sapporo from March 2nd – June 30th, 2012. He started oil painting from 1983 and also hold his first exhibition in same year. His paintings that express our usual life have attracted attention of audience.

Since its opening in 2007, Cross Hotel Sapporo has been giving a series of art exhibitions named “ART X” at the ground floor entrance hall. This year in collaboration with SHIFT, the ART X will feature the Hokkaido-based artists.

The exhibition also consists of the very first edition of the Machinaka Art project, aiming to fill the city with art and to create friendly environment for citizens to familiarize with the art, with the participation of galleries, artists and shops. This exhibition will be the fourth edition of “ART X”.

His exhibition will be held after an interval of two years in Sapporo. About 20 painting works will be showed in Cross Hotel Sapporo. We would like you to enjoy the strong and calm expressions into these works.
