Is Yuyintang’s current location at Tianshan Park ‘legal’? Have you successfully applied for a performance license?

I am in the process of applying for one. It is fundamentally important that Yuyintang is legitimate if we want to continue our operations.

Name some of the bands that have been discovered by Yuyintang.

Flying Fruit (Yu Guo) and Crazy Mushroom (Feng Kuang Mo Gu Tuan)

Which performance has been most memorable for you?

It would have to be the time when Chinese grunge-reggae musician Xie Tianxiao played. There were so many fans who came from different parts of China and everyone was singing in unison. This I would have to say, is the power of rock music.

When Yuyintang invites foreign bands to perform, will there be arrangements for the foreign bands to interact with local bands?

I hope that more local bands would come to Yuyintang to watch the foreign bands perform. Opening bands should also take the opportunity to interact with the foreign bands.

What’s your biggest satisfaction from starting up Yuyintang?

Witnessing the audience growing to recognize and trust the Yuyintang brand name.

Do you have any words of advice for new and aspiring bands?

Music is everything, and if you are able to make it to perform live to an audience, don’t give up easily.
