SUN, FLOWERS & EVENTS

HAPPENINGText: Terevision Ruiz

In May, not only the flowers bloom, but also exhibitions and events. This time it has been difficult to choose a single exhibition or event for the monthly article. After the winter lethargy, a good number of appointments not to be missed have come up. And shortly, June will arrive and El Sonar is just around the corner. May will serve as a warm-up.

At last the exhibition commissioned by Catherine Lampert arrives in Madrid, which has already been on show in the Georges Pompidou Centre in Paris and in the Whitechapel Art Gallery in London. It is the first great retrospective on the famous American photographer. A total of 350 images make up this exhibition. Divided into chronological order from the series in black and white of the seventies until her latest work. Also “Heart Beat” slide show with music interpreted by Bjork, the film “I’ll be your mirror” and a documentary in which the artist speaks about her work.
