EXPO ’70 50TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL EXHIBITION
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Japan World Exposition began in Osaka in 1970, “Expo ’70 50th Anniversary Special Exhibition” will be held in Tennozu area of Tokyo from February 15th to 24th, 2020.
At Expo ’70 hosted in Osaka, 77 countries (including Japan) participated and ended in success, drawing a total attendance of more than 64 million visitors. This exhibition will be showing those valuable artworks of the time of Expo ’70, which created by Taro Okamoto and François Baschet. Also it will exhibit the artworks created by contemporary artists including Shuta Hasunuma, Naohiro Ukawa and Tatzu Nishi who were inspired by the Expo.
For the ones who experienced Expo, the exhibition will be very nostalgic for them. For the ones who didn’t, the content will be fresh for them.
