Graduated from Sorbonne University in Paris, she started using photography as a media instead of painting in 2002. Since 2006, she has been working on photographic works by using computer techniques. She collages some parts photographed, and the way she chooses motifs and composition reminds us of that of paintings.

In the series “Fil rouge/ fil blanc”, she collages the woolen thread with the places taken photographed. She chooses abstract places such as abandoned old Korean textile factory or the ocean, and woolen thread in her photograph invites us to the surrealistic world.

For Lee Min-Ho, the word “thread” signifies labyrinth as the episode of Ariadne’ s thread in Greek myth, and the string as a fate. At a glance, we cannot find whether her work is photographed or painted.
