Till January 30th, Charles Pétillon’s exhibition “Invasions” is holding at colette in Paris. His work is popular on the contemporary art circuit and he recently exhibited his installations at the Maison de la Photographie de Lille, Royal Opera Arcade of Covent Garden and currently Magda Danysz Gallery in London.

He says “These balloon invasions are metaphors. Their goal is to change the way in which we see the things we live alongside each day without really noticing them. It is our way of looking at things that I am trying to transform and revive, and therefore make it possible to go beyond practical perception to aesthetic experience, a visual emotion.”

Charles Pétillon leaves nothing to chance. He has a perfect command of light, subject and possibilities. His vision is extremely contemporary, his still lifes are very organic and he possesses a veritable plastic intention that characterizes his work.
