The solo exhibition “mix tex” by Maya Kobyashi will be held at Gallery PARC. The exhibition is included in “PARC_art university support program” and coordinated by Kyoto University of Art and Design. The exhibition will be held based on the selected plan of a competition in the university beforehand.

Maya Kobyashi learns about the dying and waiving textile in Kyoto University of Art and Design. By heating light and high-permeability organdy, she has created original textiles dyed in multicolor with organic and uneven surface.

She said “I would like visitors to feel raw sense in touch the texture, and are touched by the texture”. Using a unique textile, the exhibition deploy on the basis of a large-scale plan to transform the gallery space itself with its effect as a layer.
