For this exhibition, he will announce new illustrations with colorful and bold brushwork, about 30 pieces expressed unseen times of assiduous and flows by layers of colors. As the name of this place has inspired the concept, he found it’s fun to overlap and mix each other, different properties as calm and punk. Then he, imagining colors to appear, be layered, and become time axis, produces works.
Toyama often draws birds as motif, and published “BirdBook” (2007) and “ColorBirdBook” (2011) from Utrecht. Planning and holding many workshops to draw paintings with joy for children throughout Japan. In addition, he produces illustration for “coquille”, a animal goods brand launching in this Spring, and designs handkerchief for “H TOKYO”, a handkerchief store for men. He is one of the most featured illustrators this year.
