Dior Ginza has reopened on April 22th, 2012 and presents the exhibition “LADY DIOR AS SEEN BY”. As LADY DIOR, the iconic bag of Christian Dior, a main subject, this exhibition is showing the collaboration works with many globally-esteemed artists. You can see and feel how each artist expresses LADY DIOR in each different way in the form of photography, sculptures and films.
Started in Beijing last year, now this traveling exhibition arrives in Japan and will keep on going around the world. To make this Tokyo opening exclusive, well known Japanese artists, Kohe Nawa, Makoto Azuma, Kengo Kito, Koichiro Doi and Aiko Miyanaga are participating. At the footage section, you can enjoy 5 collection films based on LADY DIOR from 2009 until 2011 including short films directed by David Lynch, John Cameron Mitchell and so on. Not only that more than 70 works are shown but there are some make their first appearance in this Tokyo exhibition, so please don’t miss it.
