As the artist describes this body of work, “ReRecord” is an attempt at subverting perception. Encompassing hundreds of erased record (album) covers with all the associations of the bands and singers they promoted, these ‘take-away drawings” deconstruct the figure.

The figurative is rendered abstract; sometimes sexless or genderless at times an isolated limb or mouth. They are a kind of exploration into anonymity and a sculptural aspect to the sanded flat works. The faces are a way of ordering things using found “street or skate” type common objects.
