The two mosaic samples by the atelier Lilikpó, founded by Sika Viagbo, display the current trend of revisiting ancient crafts. In this case, the art of mosaic design. Her specifics stem from her embracing various creative scenes in multicultural contexts: mosaic while working in Pierre Mesguish studio in Paris, architecture as an intern in Shigeru Ban studio in Tokyo and art at Red Gate gallery in Beijing.

A last pic refers to “The thread of feathers” project by textile designer and artisan Janaïna Milheiro. She is one of the emerging talents who contribute to usher the use of feather design into modernity by diverse techniques as embroidery, weaving, lace, printing or drawing. She combines them to unexpected materials to create sophisticated textile design for Haute Couture and interior design.

So many terrific creative stories are being showcased by “The Paris of Talents” exhibition! They all reveal the inspiring stories of many designers who chose Paris as their home and who found support from the City. Good news: even more support to the fashion industry is expected by the French government for the coming year.

Useful tip: the Gallery of Les Ateliers de Paris organizes exhibitions showcasing its talents’ latest works all year long.
