Your new original single Diamond Railway was just released as a spot song for the cosmetic brand for the first time in 2 years. You created music and lyrics, how did you make the track?

I worked on Diamond Railway soon after giving birth. The main image of “light, life force, whitening…” given from the brand blended together with my mind set after giving a birth, that created a miracle of the track.

Your parents owns a famous soup curry shop, Magic Spice, in Sapporo. Based in Sapporo until your high school days, you and your family have travelled around the world. Do you think such an upbringing inspired your music in any way?
　
As I have lived a spontaneous and spicy life in a open environment in Hokkaido, I tend to create my own original harmony.

Please tell us your inspiration as a musician.

I’m inspired by everything in my life, tradition and avant-garde.

What environment do you make music? And what’s the most important thing for doing it?

As I have a baby, I recently make music in the living room. Concentration is important but a bit hard to maintain!

Who is your favorite artist?

I was really excited with the new release of Michael Jackson in real time.

You are quite active being creative like collaborating with other musicians including OKI DUB AINU BAND and DE DE MOUSE and participating in the T-shirt design for UT Inspired: Number. What would you like to challenge next?

Something kids can enjoy. Something kids can also enjoy.

What’s your upcoming plan?

I perform many live events in the summer including the annual shipboard party which should be very romantic. A “letter” theme concept album will be released this fall, and I will go on a tour as well!
