Former Aussie and now try-hard Parisien writer Linlee Allen wholly confesses to being the “all-round groupie” of concept store colette, located in the French capital.
Having participated in the world-famous boutique’s range of events across the globe, whether it be performing in a radio show in Copenhagen, photographing guests at a party in Japan or being the first – and the last – one on the dancefloor at a CD launch party in New York, she relates to the colette way of life and here, lists her favourite finds from colette for the Autumn 06 season ahead.

FAFI EXHIBITION “GO TO YOUR ROOM”
An exhibition with a difference as famed French artist Fafi and her bedroom come to colette encouraging viewers to dive into a sugary-sweet world comprising original artworks, accessories, figurines and assorted other objects of desire. Get set to discover the famed Fafinette pin-up characters, in addition to a new family of identities including Hmilio, Birtak and Birdili, all of whom exist in a world named The Carmine Vault. Ready for viewing: limited-edition and specially edited Fafi t-shirt designs from Uniqlo and Moussy, as well as lighters, accessories and signed editions of the Fafi book from 2005, “Love and Fafiness” (Marble Books editions).

Downstairs in the colette water bar Parisians are regularly spotted quenching their thirst with waters from around the world. For the moment however, everyone seems to be fighting the effects of the summer in the city with the ultra-cool Bella Lula lemonade with its tasty, refreshing zing!
