ISAMU GAKIYA “PINEAL BODY”

Isamu Gakiya‘s solo exhibition “Pineal Body” will be held at the Art Space COMMON that spread culture from Harajuku, Tokyo from March 27th to April 5th, 2020.
He is well known as artwork for musicians like RHYMESTER and Fujifabric etc. Working as both an illustrator and artist, Gakiya builds his own world from these two sides of his practice.
Born and raised in Okinawa, he is influenced by the American culture that his images evoke a world of post-war horror, SF movies and comics.
In this exhibition, new large-scale painting works will be exhibited alongside his past drawings and collages.
