“UNKNOWN ASIA” is an international art fair that attracted over 13,000 visitors last year with approximately 290 next-generation creators from Japan and other parts of Asia. This year’s UNKNOWN ASIA will be held as an online art fair “UNKNOWN ASIA 2020 ONLINE” on the 12th and 13th of December, postponing from its scheduled date. With the change to online, the call for additional exhibitors is open until October 26th.

In the spirit of “ASIA IS ONE,” UNKNOWN ASIA aims to create value for art by providing artists with various opportunities. The committee invites famous art directors and gallerists in Asian countries including Japan as judges. Artists won the grand prix and other awards will be granted opportunities such as exhibitions at omnibus art events inside / outside Japan to introduce their artistic talents. Also business matchings opportunities by sponsors and participation organizations are one of supportive program by the UNKNOWN ASIA.

This year’s change to an online will lower the barriers to participating in the fair, as there will be no physical transportation, artwork transport, set-up, etc. The fair aims to provide an opportunity for artists to chat with visitors, judges and reviewers, to interact online and to sell their works via the Internet. In addition, conferences, talk events and performances by participants from different countries are planned through live streaming.
