A Gold Book is one of Andy Warhol’s earliest works. As the name suggests, the artwork was originally made as a promotional book with a gold cover. The book showcases Warhol’s early line drawing technique known as the blotted line technique, where he draws on a sheet of paper with ink which is then transferred onto a second sheet, resulting in broken and uneven lines. Although most known for the use of photographs in his later works, the delicate lines and use of color in A Gold Book showcase Andy Warhol’s oft-forgotten gift as a draftsman and reveal a more sensitive side of the artist.

Single-origin coffee and Japanese tea will be served at the adjoining coffee stand, artless craft tea & coffee. Relax and enjoy the art on display with your drink of choice in hand.
