The Vienna ImPulsTanz Festival, with its numerous workshops and events, is a major highlight of Vienna’s summer programme. Participants and audiences flock to Vienna from all over the world – the programme is accordingly colourful.

ImPulsTanz aims to give a broad overview of the international contemporary dance scene and this year presents some 29 dance productions and 5 film screenings in Vienna’s most beautiful theatres.
La La La Human Steps “Amelia”
This year’s festival is opened at Volkstheater by the most recent production of the Canadian company La La La Human Steps – “Amelia“, a captivating piece full of breathtaking speed and explosive dynamics.
DV8 Physical Theatre “The Cost of Living”
The Burgtheater stage will feature the dancers of the British DV8 Physical Theatre: Lloyd Newson’s choreography “The Cost of Living” is a humorous manifesto celebrating humanity – an attack against all cold perfectionism, turned into extraordinary images and excellent dance.
