The atmosphere and synergy of the conference was high as speakers often got an immediate response to their work, allowing designers to gain immediate response from the audience. Laughter, applause, amazement all created an electrifying energy in the air.

This was further heightened at the IdN Proshop where autograph sessions were organized. Throngs of “fans” lined up to get their favorite designs immortalized with the signature of the creator. While the array of products were snapped up as visitors flooded the IdN Proshop in an attempt to get their hands on their favorite products.

Along with the conference, an installation gallery was set up, allowing visitors to interact with works of featured speakers. This included Tomato Interactive and Graham Plumb’s Reactive Cube and Ryota Kuwakubo’s Bitman. Along with the interactive gallery, a showcase of selected entries from the IdN Decade Awards was put up, where the winners were announced during the conference. Creating an interactive element to the conference. Rather than just listening to the speakers alone, the Fresh conference created a holistic tactile experience.

The conference ended with a celebration bash at Zouk, one of Singapore’s most established clubs. Everyone was invited to the party, extending the interaction beyond the conference. IdN Fresh Conference 2002 Singapore, a truly international, interactive exchange.
