Clark Galley + SHIFT is a commercial gallery of contemporary art managed by SHIFT Production which also issues an international online magazine called “SHIFT“クラークギャラリー＋SHIFTは、かつて1970年代から1980年代に札幌に存在した「クラーク画廊」のコレクションを引継ぎ、国際的なオンラインマガジン「SHIFT」を発行するシフトプロダクションが運営している現代アートのコマーシャル・ギャラリー。2014年6月に札幌の創成川イーストに設立された文化複合施設「ミュージアム」内に移転オープンした。
クラークギャラリー＋SHIFTでは、クラーク画廊の60年代から70年代にかけての貴重な版画コレクションに加え、シフトプロダクションが独自にセレクトした国内外の作家の作品を展示・販売している。
クラーク画廊のコレクションには帯広出身の矢柳剛、美唄出身の安田侃、小樽の一原有徳、足寄出身の多賀新ら北海道出身の作家の作品も多く含まれている。また、作家の画集やネットなどでは知ることのできない在廊当時の新聞記事など、貴重な記録もファイルに保存されており、ギャラリー内で閲覧することもできる。また、月替わりでの企画展が行われている。

. This gallery took over the original “Clark Gallery” which used to exist in Sapporo during the 1970s and 1980s. In June 2014, moved and renewal opened in “MUSEUM”, the cultural complex building at the River Sousei-East area, Sapporo and introduces new talents from Sapporo to the world.
There are many valuable collections from the 1960s and 1970s from the Clark Gallery and also many works of art created by contemporary artists in Clark Galley +SHIFT. There are also some artworks by international artists who have been selected exclusively by SHIFT for exhibition and for sale.
Clark Gallery collected many works of art created by Hokkaido artists such as Go Yayanagi from Obihiro, Kan Yasuda from Bibai, Arinori Ichihara from Otaru and Shin Taga from Asyoro. Furthermore, you can find valuable records such as books of paintings by artists, old newspapers that can’t be found on the internet and so on. And the exhibition of contemporary art will be held at the gallery in monthly.
