A City Guide For Creative Tourist

One of Hokkaido’s features for art is that you can experience huge art works in nature. The venues include Moerenuma Park designed by a world famous sculptor Isamu Noguchi, Sapporo Art Park, Art Glove at Sapporo Dome, Arte Piazza Bibai where exhibits Kan Yasuda’s sculpure.
Even there locates various contemporary art galleries including Miyanomori Art Museum, there are still few galleries where you can experience international contemporary art. CAI and CAI 02 are the great galleries to learn about artists in Sapporo.
There are emerging artists like Kinpro and Wabisabi who are Sappor-based artists gaining attentions nationally and internationally.
