The first solo exhibition in Japan, “Good Stuff To Look At” by Bruce Davenport Jr. will be held at VACANT from September 1st to 15th, 2012.
He is an outsider artist from New Orleans, and continue to work at hometown as a self-taugh artist. After an encounter with curator, Diego Cortez, Bruce attended The New Orleans Biennial “Prospects 1 / 1.5 / 2” during 2010 to 2012, then have attracted a great deal of attention in the art scene mainly in US.
The 10 works of the new large-format drawing created for this exhibition by Bruce Davenport Jr will be shown at this exhibition.
