Sam Haskins, (1926 – 2009) British, photographer and designer. Born in South Africa, studied fine art and photography in Johannesburg and photography in London. A pioneering figure in 1960s, his first book ‘Five Girls’ was a breakthrough in figure photography and his next ‘Cowboy Kate’ one of the best selling photo books of all time. He produced iconic images for each decade of a 60 year career and is today one of the most referenced photographers of the 20th century.
