A brand created just four years ago and already everybody is clamoring for it. Already there have been two CFDA nominations (fashion equivalent of the Oscars), a collaboration with Gant (available soon at colette), so things are definitely peachy for Michael Bastian! This season there are all the trends: grunge, lumberjack, army, and preppy too! Those who know his work will be surprised by his punk version of American style, with jeans tucked into boots, kilts, plaid shirts with yokes, and a touch of poetry as well with the phrase “Love is blind” applied to soft cashmere sweaters and sleeping masks .

Toledo x Payless
We were already familiar with Isabel Toledo’s ready-to-wear collections, held in such esteem by Michelle Obama! Now a line of shoes designed for the great American chain store, Payless , which specializes in bags and shoes. Together, they make luxury democratic, creating a capsule collection (boots, heels, ballerinas) that is inventive, functional and affordable. Some models will be available exclusively and in world premiere at colette from August 16. Isabel & Ruben Toledo will be at colette on monday August 16th, 4-6pm, to customize your shoes.

Dr Martens x Hello Kitty
On the occasion of their respective 50 year anniversaries, Sanrio Inc., the famous creator of Hello Kitty characters, and Dr. Martens combine to create an ultra-exclusive line of boots called 1460. The print assembles all the different characters, from Hello Kitty to Chococat,Little Twin Stars and My Melody , which is a first in the history of the brand! Other models in the collection pay tribute to the world of Hello Kitty with 3D overlays of the famous cat’s bow on each shoe.
